Nice to meet you! I am currently a second year student pursuing a double major in Psychology and Biology at Stony Brook University. I have been in the photography industry for the past 3 years, and specialize primarily in event, people, and sports photography. However, I am open and welcome to all types of photography. My work attempts to not only document important events and preserve memories, but also to capture the emotions within every moment of life.
My journey in photography began during my junior year at Brooklyn Tech, the largest high school in the country. With a student body of 6,000 and a diverse range of school events, I was able to carefully develop and hone my photography skills across many different settings. During my time, I had the opportunity to cover key events like our Centennial Homecoming and Masquerade Ball, as well as concerts and plays. I was also given the unique opportunity to photograph House Minority Rep. Hakeem Jeffries’ community inauguration, which taught me invaluable skills in photojournalism. Outside of event photography, I took portraits and group photos for numerous student organizations, including the Student Government, National Honor Society, and Key Club. Over the course of my time, I served as the Co-Photo Editor for our Yearbook and as Photography Chairperson for Student Government. My work can be found published in the Class of 2023 Yearbook, One ‘23 Go!, and the Fall 2023 issue of TechTimes, an annual magazine published by our Alumni Foundation. You can also view a selection of my work from this time period on my website, under the Brooklyn Tech tab.
At Stony Brook, I currently serve as the Assistant Multimedia Editor for our student newspaper, The Statesman. In addition, I am also the Webmaster for the Photography Club—so feel free to direct any website issues my way! My time here has given me the opportunity to capture a variety of campus traditions, including Seawolves Showcase, Homecoming, Brookfest, and Roth Regatta. While I have experience photographing many different types of student organizations, I have the most experience in cultural and performance organizations. Notable student run events I’ve covered include Belleza Universal Pageant, hosted by LASO, and Mangeant, hosted by Theta Phi Alpha. Additionally, I have worked with the Department of Anesthesiology at Stony Brook Hospital, documenting a three-week science and research program aimed at introducing students to the healthcare field. I am also credentialed with Stony Brook Athletics, and have experience photographing Basketball, Lacrosse, Soccer, Volleyball, Tennis, Softball, Football, and Baseball. My work can be found published both digitally and in print through The Statesman. You can view a selection of my work on my website under the Stony Brook tab.
